For those people who know my mom this is a very rare occurance, because both she and I rather dislike shopping in general. But we had to get some groceries and stock up on supplies for the gym concession stand (we provide foodstuffs for baseball/softball/basketball games).
Hobby Lobby was also involved. Shhh....
I've decided that when I grow up (...still saying that at 18 XD) I'll be the person who collects mugs and teapots, just because they're cool-looking. Mwee hee hee...
I was actually kind of surprised--there was very little to no seasoning, but the fish actually had a very mild taste of its own (it didn't taste 'fishy' though). We forgot to ask our waiter what kind of fish it was, but we think there was salmon, tuna, shrimp, and two other kinds that we still don't know. XD
The green playdoh-looking-stuff on the plate is wasabi, the clump of orange-pink is pickled ginger. I could eat pickled ginger all day long... *drools*
Oh my goodness gracious, was this soup ever good...our waiter described it as 'seafood soup--very spicy' XD. It had shrimp, some kind of fish, shredded cabbage (very, VERY thinly sliced), mushrooms...it was amazing. Mom and I were trying to figure out what was in it so we can recreate it sometime. XD And it was seriously hot--the first bite wasn't too bad, but the second bite I had to cough and gasp a bit after swallowing. But it was goooood.
...I'm drooling now. Darned picture...
(Fortunately you can't see most of my clothes--I wasn't able to change out of my workout clothes before leaving and hence I was kind of a mess. XD
Originally he was going to make gang signs to be funny, but Mom made him stop. XD
If he had, I'm sure that I would be one of the only bloggers in the world who has a picture of a Japanese man making gang signs in a sushi resturant.
...but don't hold me to that. XD
Then we left and got a dead battery in the parking lot of Aldi's. The end. XD
Your hostess,
The Fox
(P.S. Obviously we made it home from Aldi's in one's piece...but that's another story for another time.)
