Water Droplets on a Swan
...I love my camera. That's all I can say. XD
Spring Self-Portrait
Is it just me, or are self-portraits kind of addicting? (And yes, that is a piece of grass in my mouth. Shush.)
Bricks
Next to an old train depot near my house is a stack of bricks...they looked kinda cool, what can I say?
All Locked Up
This is a padlocked door on an old, decrepit depot about a block from my house. It's old...and sad...
Fan of Needles
No, not THOSE kinds of needles, you sickos. These are PINE needles. Pine, I tell you!! *thumps fist*
The Light of the World
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." -- Matthew 5:14-16
Eye
ZOMIGOSH I BET YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE GUESSED IT. XD Okay, just kidding...and yes, those are my real eyelashes. And no, I don't wear makeup. Be quiet.
Eye, Continued
And the OTHER eye...yay... XD
Flat and Round
...I'll bet you can tell that I'm just plucking random phrases out of the air, right? XD
Self-portrait
Taken using my new camera and the back window of my truck. Whee. XD
Reflection
A puddle. The sky. A patch of snow. A metal rod. What else is there to say?
Inner Bulbousness
Looks kind of like smut on corn. (Please don't ask.) But it's really the inside of a geode that rests in the back of my truck for weight/ballast on the snowy roads.
The Edge of Reason
...I don't know what the title means either. Leave me alone. XD
Knotty Stump
Taken using my new Canon camera and tweaked in Photoshop. I love my new camera. :D
Beret
Made by moi. Crocheted using a D-hook and EcoSoft yarn. I spent three days frantically/obsessively crocheting this thing. It kind of took on a life of its own...
...
This is a cross-beam in the barn roof...I was feeding the horses this morning and noticed that the light was streaming in through a crack in the roof and lighting up some spider webs, so I ran back to the house and fetched a camera. It came out ever so slightly blurry because it was pretty dim in the barn (darned slow shutter speed) but this is the best picture I took.
Civilization
Okay, this takes some explaining...XD So I have this friend from Deviantart (affectionately known as Knighty), and she did a bookmark with Enjolras (representing revolution) and Combeferre (representing civilization): http://historyknightls.deviantart.com/art/Revolution-AND-Civilization-95101879 I liked the idea so much that I took the 'Civilization' one and portrayed it in a literal sense here. I don't have any clothing that's in the patchy-looking category (although I think it looks fabulous in artform) so I used a cloak that I made years ago, whilst in the throes of a Lord of the Rings obsession.
Gooky in the Mandolin Case
Hey, when I said random I meant random!! My dad has this dual-case where he puts his mandolin and fiddle, and one day when he was playing his mandolin Gooky climbed into the open case and curled up where the mandolin goes. She's a funny cat. XD
