Supreme busy-ness in life has put a slight damper on my drawing. However, over the past 2-3 weeks I have managed to draw three pictures. The first two were drawn during various long car trips, hence the relative attention to detail. The third...well, I spent a lot of time on the subject and not too much on background. I hate backgrounds with a passion--I like how they look when done right, but they're really boring to actually DO. *shakes head*
Friesian Horse
Fagin the Jew (from Oliver Twist)
Javert Off-duty
The third was inspired by a fantastic fanfic writer--check this person out! You can find them here. Considering all the drivel and froth that most people dash out (yours truly included, eh heh), this is a breath of fresh air. The Les Miserables stories are phenomenal.
Another note: I am in the process of putting links in my artwork; e.g., when you click on the pictures you can see its full size. As of now most of the pictures have links, but not all.

I have a new guestbook--the old one I made is now not useable. I'll post the link on the home page. Lessee, where to begin...well, for 4-H three of the five things I showed were chosen for State Fair: my Visual Arts, my vegetable basket, and my book for Do Your Own Thing. I'm going to take my picture to the fair--yayness! On Wednesday night I won three awards for Best of Class (I got two plaques and a pot of gardening tools, woo). Today is the horse show, which is always fun. I shall be posting pictures of that. I know, I know, I've been posting quite a bit lately. Today I had 4-H for the first day, and showed a vegetable basket for Horticulture, my Shetland Knitter picture for Visual Arts, and my Good Horsekeeping book for Animal Sciences. And I think all of them are going to state fair!! All of them were recommended, anyway. I am very excited--the only thing I've ever had go to State in the past was my vegetable basket. I rode Colletta in the 4th of July parade for the first time this year! It was really, really fun. Unfortunately we only got two pictures of me and the horse: Un and Deux. I put her mane in a net latticework 'braid', which was fun; no one else braided their horses' manes. I wore Mom's leather fringed poncho over a camisole, my tall black boots, and my older brother's hat. The US Army bag is my official bag for carrying stuff (i.e. notebooks, books, sketchbooks, writing/drawing utensils, etc). Dad got a couple of videos of me on the horse as well; for the first one I was mocking the beauty contestants 'wave'. Hello, I'm back. Anyhoodle, Les Mis in Phantom of the Opera has updated, there's now three parts to it, so go check it out. |
