I finally got the news from the people at Waunita...sadly enough I wasn't hired. They are going to have a really slow summer and decided not to hire as many people as they would have in the past. Sooo...the Fox is staying home for the summer!

Strangely enough I'm not too awful upset about it...I mean, I was really looking forward to it, but on the other hand it was also going to put a lot of stress on my parents and brother to 'pick up the slack', so to speak.

And I'll get to work with Violet this summer too. Just sayin'. :D

Let's see...in other news it's been raining like CRAZY (I was caught in said rain yesterday, and was forced to drive 40 mph on the four-lane highway with the wipers on top speed)--I'd say we've had several inches of rain in the past two days alone. Oy. So things are growing, getting greener, and things are starting to head towards late spring.

I saw Will's play last night--it was a rousing success, and I have several pictures and videos to prove it. Once I get said videos on Youtube I can see about embedding them on here...I've never tried embedding a video, so this will be interesting. *sweatdrop*

Not much else to say, really--I'm working on knitting a scarf so I'm going to head off to do that. I was given a down mattress cover for my bed today, and WOW. It's so soft...all I want to do is lie on it and knit. :D

Visited a bookstore...mwahahaha... (I seriously spent about $200 on books. It's a dangerous hobby, being a book-collector... XD)

Went to the beach... (there were Portugese man-o-war on the beach and riptides. It was awesome. XD)

Attended a church picnic... (Yes, that IS a log toss in the second picture)

And there are SO many things to show and talk about...I'll have to upload pictures according to each day. None of these are tweaked, but when I get home I can start the tweaking and upload pictures with some sense of consistency/coherency. Oy.

Also? I'm flying alone for the first time today. And I'm not that nervous, really...not like when I flew for the first time. My only concern is that layover in North Carolina. *bites nails*

Also? I was interviewed yesterday by Waunita, and I'm just waiting for their reply. Eee squee. :D

Also? I miss many things (I hear Javert has been mopey and the horses are shedding like crazy) about home, but one certain person in particular...three guesses as to who it is, and the first two don't count. XD I'll be glad to be home.
