1. Today Mom and I went shopping, and on the way home we stopped by a Japanese resturant and had some 'real' Japanese food.
Oh. My. Gosh. I thought I loved my plain old home-made sushi (which usually involves wrapping some sushi rice in a nori wrapper with nothing else), but WOW. The Hollywood roll was DIVINE...it had crabmeat, cream cheese, cucumber, and avacado... *drools* We brought some home, see? See??
Another reason I wish I had brought my camera in the resturant is because Mom ordered hot tea, and it was served with an ADORABLE little teapot and matching cup. *hunts for a picture*
...I want it.
But then I remember that I'm a tea-hound who drinks an average of 20-30 oz. of tea a day and that would mean making about 4 of these teapots-worth of tea. And that's kind of a hassle. I guess I'll stick with my pottery beer-stein for now. (I would post a picture of said stein, but I can't seem to find a picture. Meh.)
Also resturant-related: the waiter thought I was in high-school. And I am regularly mistaken for being younger than Will. *headdesk* This is most vexing.
2. I cerimoniously burned a copy of the sequel to 'Eragon' this afternoon.
I even got pictures of the whole process and was on the brink of posting the pictures of the firey aftermath, but then I got to thinking: if I had written a book, and someone actively loathed it, I think I would crawl into a hole and die. And finding a series of pictures of someone burning what I had poured my heart and soul in would be akin to ripping my heart out and eating it. So...after much consideration, I decided not to show the pictures, because the whole subject of book-burning really IS in rather poor taste.
But if I get a copy of Twilight, you're going to watch to the firey, burning end.
And Christopher Paolini? If you're reading this, I still loathe your series. I just won't rub it into your face with pictures. And take my advice: READ TEMERAIRE. NAOW.
3. I bought these boots today.
Actually, I have to make a correction: I was GOING to pay for the boots, but Mom insisted on paying for them. (And who am I to protest when she insists? XD Don't worry, I bought the Japanese food, and it was expensive enough to make up for the boots) They're in preparation for Colorado...the more I think about Colorado, the more excited and anticipatory I get. I know that I'll probably be a nervous wreck for the first week or so, but once I settle in and get over the homesickness it'll be fabulous.
Anyway. These boots are really comfortable--although I fell asleep on the couch while wearing them earlier and when I woke up my feet were numb. So I don't recommend sleeping in them. XD But I WILL be wearing them every day that I can to break them in for Colorado.
And with that, I leave you with my last image for the day:
