Oh yes, and there were riptides. At least two that we could see from shore.
You'll be glad to know no one got stung, and no one was dragged out to sea by a riptide. XD
I just thought you might like to know that. XD
From left to right: Jean Marie, Emily, me, Olivia, Anna, and Julia. Isaac was taking the picture, so unfortunately we don't have him in there. >.<
Jean Marie is a lovely young lady who joined us on our trip...she and Anna are BFFs and Jean was kind enough to quickly include me into the circle of friendship. :D
An interminable time out at sea covered it in shells, and it was cast back up on the shore for me to take a picture of it. I would have to say that the stuff that washes up on the shores of beaches has to be some of the most interesting things I've seen.
(Do jellyfish even HAVE faces?)
(His name's George, by the way. He's the first little boy I've ever seen named 'George'--most people with that name are adults. Has anyone noticed that before?)
But first, we stopped by a thrift store and had an adventure.
After said adventure we went back to the house, watched the third Indiana Jones movie (my absolute favorite--and not just because it has Sean Connery XD), and headed off to some friends' house to watch 'Stargate'.
'Stargate' is...well...it's an acquired taste. I spent most of my time playing ping-pong with Isaac and two other guys in the garage. XD Now THAT got interesting...at one point we ditched the paddles and were playing 'full-contact ping-pong': you could use your hands, head, arms, legs, feet, ANYTHING to try to get the ball back over the net. It was hysterical. :D
On a different note: last night I saw Will perform in 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' in the lead--I got several pictures and a few videos, so I'll probably be doing a post in the next few days about the play. Rest assured that he did a fabulous job, though.
Tune in tomorrow for day 6 of the Floridian Saga!!
Your hostess,
The Fox
