For a bit of explanation: Barberville is a festival in Florida that occurs several times a year. Their big times of the year, though, are the Spring Frolic and the Fall Jamboree. We were there for the Fall Jamboree (obviously, what with it being November and all), and had an absolute blast.
Also? Barberville is the first place that Isaac and Lydi met. *squees* IS THAT NOT STINKIN' ADORABLE?
*ahem* Anyway. On to the post!
Now, when I heard that they were helpers for the petting zoo I envisioned a REAL petting zoo, like with animals and stuff.
Let's just say that I was rather mistaken. XD They led us into this room full of instruments, and at first I thought they were making a detour. So I hung around...took a few pictures...waited while they and Will picked up instruments and started playing...
After a few minutes I managed to get Gabi's attention and asked when we'd be going to the petting zoo.
....turns out he said an INSTRUMENT petting zoo. XD
Ahh, mistakes. Gotta love 'em.
By the way, random guy with the sideburns (if you should ever read this): I'm not a creeper. Truly and honestly. I just think sideburns look cool. (It's my Javert influence. *taps nose*)
Okay, so after eating there's a 2-3 hour gap between pictures, because I went into the schoolhouse and danced all freakin' afternoon.
See, as I pointed out in the previous entry, there's nothing here in Illinois that is anything like the contra dancing we got to enjoy in Florida. My feet were raw and my calves were dying by the end, but it was SO much fun...
