The last week has taken a turn for the nuttier--between people visiting/spending the night, going to parties, going to work, going to practice...let's just say that we've been 'going' a lot. ^^;
Take today, for example. I worked at the gym until 11, ran home, went shopping with Mom (and out to eat at the Japanese sushi place--pictures are on the way), and immediately after coming home I had to drive Will and several of his friends to a music gig, which lasted until 7:30 or so...it was a full day. *falls over* I didn't even have time to change out of my workout clothes in between rushing and by the end of the day I felt pretty gross. >.<
So yeah. But in between the insanity I've found a little bit of time to draw/paint. I'm glad I did, because it's kinda keeping me sane at the moment. XD
Let's see, what else has been going on...umm...I've started putting the horses out on the grassy pasture, after over a year of waiting for it to grow. I has pictures that are waiting to be put into a post...the grass is well over three feet tall and wonderfully plentiful. It maketh me happeh. ^-^
Oh! Oh! Guess what? Tomorrow's Barricade Day! :D For the uninformed, 'Barricade Day' celebrates when the barricades fell in the novel Les Miserables. I've observed it for at least the past two years by watching the 'Les Miserables: 10th Anniversary Concert' for the musical and cosplaying as Javert...it may be an insanely nerdy pastime, but by golly it's fun. Who knows? I may make a barricake this year... XD
On a totally different note there's been tons of storms moving through lately...yesterday there were tornado/severe thunderstorm warnings all around us. O.o Fortunately none of that hit us, but this morning when I went to work it was raining steadily, and didn't stop until well after noon. As a result the yard is underwater again, I couldn't put the horses out on pasture (if the ground's too wet they tear it up something fierce), and I wasn't able to ride this evening like I planned.
(I was also completely exhausted. But we won't go there. XD)
And now it's blowing and raining like crazy outside again. Whoof.
And it's late and my eyes are starting to cross as I stare at the screen, so I'm going to bookmark THIS for my barricake recipe (mwahahaha...) and get off the computer before I fall over in my tracks.
Your sleep-deprived hostess,
