For the non-horsey-people, 'ponying' is merely when you ride one horse and lead another behind. It's a bit tricky, but I taught both Violet and Colletta how to do it and they know what's expected. Usually.
My reason for ponying is because Violet is impossible to ride by herself in town--due to freaking out because she's getting too far from home--and while I can ride her while someone rides Colletta, I'm lucky to get someone to ride with me once every couple of weeks. So instead of letting Violet stagnate in the barn as I take Colletta for rides, I'm taking her along to get her used to seeing 'scary' stuff.
I've only been at rehearsals once this week...things will have to change next week. And my banner has been hung across the street, but I haven't seen it yet. *makes note to take picture*
(This hasn't been a very restful summer. Sigh...)
Also? My legs are hideously pale. Just sayin'.
Your hostess,
The Fox
P.S. I've been having weird dreams lately, ranging from confrontational to hopeful. They're very vivid....weeeiiiirrdd....
