Art has been slacked upon, severely. I started a drawing of hands the other day but it hasn't been touched since the initial sketch. Photoshop has lost its appeal what with the weather outside. I would take pictures of the loveliness outside but I'm usually doing something 'dirty' (i.e. weeding, mucking the barn, etc) and the fear of getting it dirty keeps the thing in its case. This phobia will be addressed at a future point. XD
Although...I HAVE started mucking out the barn, for real. I even have a blister to show for it. XD I hauled approximately twenty loads this morning (well...maybe more like 12) and while it's obvious where I've been working there's still a TON to do. Maybe even two tons.
Get it? A ton? Two tons? Hee hee. Hee hee ho ho ha ha...
...I apologize. This appalling display of punniness stops naow.
Anyway...the wedding last Saturday was wonderful. I took many, many pictures (over half of which are still waiting to be tweaked in Photoshop *cringes*), the ceremony went off without a hitch (unless you count 'getting hitched', hee hee XD), and we got somewhat bored during the dinner and played approximately twenty games of pool in the adjoining resturant. It was awesome.
Sunday was wonderful--I helped Mike paint his room, and I totally intended to take the camera and get before and after pictures, but I forgot my camera. *headdesk* Just trust me when I say that it looks very, very nice as oppossed to the depressing dark-paneling-florescent-lighting from before. I was treated to a taste of 'man food' (that is, a taco casserole: turkey meat, mac 'n cheese, green and red chilis, taco sauce, and cheese, baked in the oven. It was surprisingly good and spicy)...kinda reminds me of stories Dad used to tell us of what he ate during his bacholer years. Tuna casserole and ramen, baby!! XD
The past few days have warmed up significantly--earlier I was weeding outside the gym, yesterday I rode Colletta (she almost bucked me off in the road, but due to will-power and a leg hooked over the saddle I stayed on *rolls eyes*), today I started mucking out the barn and brushed the horses...yeah. I may not do 'productive' things in the sense of art and picture-taking, but I've been plenty busy. Tomorrow I have school, Friday a house to clean and work, and then Saturday is THE AUCTION. Gasp. Les gasp. Les gasp the sequel. And so on. I promise I will take the camera this time...no way am I going to miss out on this photo op. Maybe I can get Mike to take some last pictures of Shiska and me...
This whole 'selling the horse' is bittersweet, you know? I mean, she's been around for almost three years, I've trained her since she was a day-old foal...I just don't have time to work with her. Which stinks, but I also don't want her to be a pasture ornament. (Although I'm sure that from her standpoint, being a lawn ornament would be just wonderful. XD) I dunno...it'll be kinda hard...if I cry, that will be horrendously embarrassing. *headdesk* I'll get pictures. And try not to think of the worst case scenario. XD
Your hostess,
The Fox
