Not sure what to talk about...so I guess I'll just ramble. Won't that be fun? XD
Today was a karate clinic--what? I haven't mentioned my taking karate before? Well, this will have to be remedied.
Several years ago my whole family was involved in the Tang Soo Do karate group here in town. After a couple of years in it we quit, mostly due to financial straits. (I'm not sure if I used 'straits' correctly, but if it means 'difficulty' then I did. :D)
Years passed. I grew from a pudgy little kid with dorky glasses and a bad haircut into the bizzarity that I am now. And after I started working at the gym, I decided that I'd like to join again. I did so two weeks ago, and this clinic has been a big buildup ever since I donned those white pants and shirt: a master from Chicago had been asked to come down and teach this clinic, so he did. (Pretty anticlimactic, no?)
It was a lot of fun, really. From 10 to 12 this morning we stretched, kicked, did one-steps (basic self-defense moves), controlled falling (I sat out of this because I HATE falling in any form whatsoever after getting a concussion from falling off the horse), etc. The master was a good-natured sort with a pretty good sense of humor, which is always good...okay, I'm getting tired of talking karate. Something else is called for.
I took a bunch of pictures that are snow-related, but I haven't gotten around to loading them onto the computer, much less editing them and posting them on here. Gah. *headdesk* Oh well. Once I have a few moments to breathe and get my act together, you can consider them posted.

Will has a scar on his forearm. He SAYS it looks like he tried to kill himself. Considering all the times he's fallen off of things and hit his head/back/mouth/whatever, I wouldn't think that he'd need the help, but I digress. (Those are stories for another time.)

Okay, I need one more topic to talk about...umm...umm...ummmm...well, Isaac is home, as I'm sure you all know. This means that his truck is home too. Said truck is an F350 that, once he parked it in the driveway, sat for three days refusing to start, and now it does start but not every time. Oh, and tonight when he drove the thing on the backroads (in the dark I might add) the headlights went out.
Did I mention that it was foggy too? No? Well, it was. Suffice to say, the next logical step in this whirlwind of insanity was to turn on the emergency flashers and drive home by the light of said flashers.
I swear, I'm not making this up. Seriously. And the moral, kiddos, is to do your homework before you buy a vehicle and make sure that it will run at least MOST of the time. 'Kay? 'Kay. I'm glad we had this talk. XD
